My second-ever burn, the piece that first taught me about depth and texture.

Looking back, I’d approach it so differently now… but that’s the magic of learning through craft. Every burn shifts your eye, your hand, your patience.

Someone connected with this piece exactly as it was, so it became a chopping board, finished with food‑safe oil, and sent off to its new home.

And honestly? I don’t think it’ll ever see a knife. They loved it far too much to actually chop on it.

Early work, imperfect edges, and all the lessons that came with it. This one will always mark the start of something.
